Another militant commander associated with Jamaatul Ahrar and Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Sarbakaf Mohmand, has died in mysterious circumstances.
According to sources, internal differences of terrorist organisations have become intense and there is a strong possibility that the death of Sarbakaf is linked with internal strife. He died under mysterious circumstances.
For the past few days, there were reports of poisoning of Sarbakaf on some social media accounts. Sarbakaf had been involved in anti-Pakistan activities for a long time. He was spreading poisonous propaganda against Pakistan on social media in the name of Ghazi media network.
Sarbakaf was considered a symbol of terror and the regional pacifists looked upon him with disdain. The reason is also that Sarbakaf belonged to Jamaat-ul-Ahrar which merged with the TTP some time ago.
According to reports, despite the merger, the two groups had differences with each other, the main reason being the division of territory for kidnapping and exploitation of children.
Sarbakaf Mohmand was the mastermind of several terrorist acts, including the Peshawar Police Lines attack.
